Its a team sport. Stars need role players, and role players need stars. JJ could sit on the bench, never play a minute, and get a ring playing for the Lakers. It wouldnt change who he is as a player, just like Gasol, Artest, Odom, Fisher, etc. They didnt magically improve their games, they just ended up with more opportunities. Dont be surprised if Mario Chalmers and Mike Miller have career years in the next few seasons and become winners.
I just find it odd that JJ is a championship player when there was more than one playoff game this year when he only shot one or two shots and played less than ten minutes. Most championship players regardless of teammates get more playing time than that.
